Headlamp Switch: Service and Repair

Fig. 11 Headlamp Switch Removal:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove underside dash casing on driver's side of vehicle by detaching fasteners holding casing to panel.
3. Remove screw securing instrument shroud to panel and to instrument module casing.
4. Loosen screws securing shroud to lower mounting bracket and ease the shroud clear to gain access to the spring-loaded pin retaining knob.
5. Depress pin and remove knob, which permits removal of shroud, Fig. 11.
6. Remove nut holding headlamp switch to mounting bracket.
7. Remove switch from bracket and disconnect wiring harness at connector to free switch.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
