JVA Enhancements (JTP626/2 & JTP627/1)
The following changes have been made to the vibration analyzer application:CLEAR ALL TAGGED WAVEFORMS
A new button has been added. This button will clear all of the currently tagged waveforms. The new button is located next to the Tag waveform button and is only present when more than one waveform has been tagged.
IDENTIFY NUMBER OF TAGGED WAVEFORMS
The Tag Waveform button will now include a number on top of the tag Icon to indicated the number of waveforms already tagged for analysis.
LIST FILES
A new button has been added to the VIEW, SAVE and EXPORT screens. Operation of this button (similar to the configuration on datalogger) will display a list of all of the files available.
The information displayed will include File Number, Transducer Location, Transducer orientation, Comments and Tag Status. It is possible to jump to any file by scrolling up and down the list and highlighting the required file.
ON SCREEN KEYBOARD
An Underscore key has been added to the PDU's on screen keyboard to enable more meaningful comments to be entered.
SPEED OF OPERATION
The software used to generate the composite waveform has been modified. The typical time to generate the composite has reduced by greater than 10 times. For a group of 6 signals at 70 mph this improvement would be from more than 6 minutes to less than 30 seconds.
SINGLE USER OPERATION
Normally the vibration analyzer requires two people to operate the tool, one to drive the vehicle being tested and a second to operate the PDU. This feature enables the whole process to be conducted by a single person. To use the vibration analyzer in single user mode the Dealer Flight Recorder (DFR) button should be connected to the MPA and strapped to the parking brake lever using the strap provided.
^ To use the single user mode, connect the PDU to the vehicle and configure the transducer in the normal manner. With the vehicle stationary and in park select OPERATION MODE from the vibration analyzer configuration screen. (This is the same screen that is used to select the X axis notation and the units). On the following screen select SINGLE USER.
^ On pressing the ACQUIRE DATA icon on the main screen the PDU will advise of how many store locations are left. The operator will then be asked for a default comment for the data that is about to be acquired. (The PDU will add a number to this comment to indicate which file is which.)
^ the PDU will then provide an information screen describing how the single user function operates. On pressing tick the PAUSE icon will fill the PDU screen indicating that the PDU is ready to gather data, the LED on the DFR button will also illuminate.
^ As with two man operation drive the vehicle at the speed at which the vibration is most apparent, then press the DFR button. The LED on the button will extinguish for a few seconds to indicate that the PDU is gathering data. This may be repeated as required.
^ If the LED on the DFR button flashes continuously then all of the store locations are full.
^ To exit single user operation stop the vehicle and select Park, the PDU will then return to the main window and allow normal operation.
