Vehicle Data Viewer (JT626/2 & JTP627/1)

The Vehicle Data Viewer application has been changed to improve usability particularly in the area of pin/wire information. All colors are now indicated by abbreviations. This has been done to reduce the amount of space taken and allow more information to be displayed on each screen.

Note:
These abbreviations will not be translated.

The abbreviations are:-

The connector description at the top of the Pin/wire information screen has been changed to the following: Connector Number: Number of Pins: Connector Color

This will look like:- ACO16:104: G

The words MALE and FEMALE used to head each of the pin/wire columns have been replaced by graphics similar to the probing graphics used during diagnostics.

All of the above changes have increased the number of wires that may be displayed on each screen to 6.

The speed with which the PDU scrolls through the Pin/Wire screens has also been improved.

A new facility has been added to the ENTER ITEM NAME facility. Currently when searching for a connector, the connector name should be entered, PDU will then go directly to the connector location screen. The following feature has now been added:

^ If a part connector name is input the PDU will go to the connector name list with the first match for the part name highlighted.

^ If a pin number is added to the connector name, separated by a "full stop" character, (e.g. ACO16.24) the PDU will go directly to the Pin/Wire screen containing the pin number in question. Pressing the "tick" icon on this screen will access the connector view screen with the selected pin flashing on the connector.
