ISSUE:

Poor alarm system transmitter range.

ALARM:

If this problem exists, first check the transmitter battery voltage. If the battery voltage is satisfactory (12 volts), the alarm antenna position must be adjusted using the following procedure:

^ Remove the right hand rear quarter trim panel to expose the rearward electrical harness.





^ Locate the alarm antenna along side of the harness, (Fig. 1). Uncoil and straighten the antenna.





^ Position the rear trim panel to the vehicle and tape the straightened antenna to the panel vertically, avoiding interference with any metal panels and rear quarter window components, (Fig. 2).

^ Install the trim panel and check transmitter range.
