XJS Convertible vehicles up to VIN 176341 were equipped with a rear window heater inhibit switch installed on the left hand side top linkage. This would disable the rear window heater if the top was lowered.

At VIN 176342, the heated rear window inhibit switch and striker were deleted as a running change.
