Radio - Frequent Re-Coding - Secure Antenna Coaxial Cable

ISSUE:

Loose radio coaxial cable at the antenna motor makes it necessary to re-code the radio frequently, particularly on engine start-up.

ACTION:

Tighten the cable using the following procedure:

NOTE:
Do not replace the ground side choke at the radio chassis.

^ Remove the right side trunk trim panel.

^ Locate the coaxial cable at the base of the antenna motor.

^ Fully tighten (by hand only) the fluted ring nut which retains the coaxial cable to the connection at the base of the antenna mast.

^ Refit the side liner.
