ISSUE:
R134A A/C systems use Butyl "O" rings.
ACTION:
Replace the "O" rings in the R134A system with Butyl "O" rings ONLY. Do not use Neoprene "O" rings, as they will deteriorate when they come in contact with the PAG oil used in the R134A system.
NOTE:
Butyl rings can be either black or green in color. If you are not sure which type of "O" ring you have in stock, do not use it.
To ensure proper "O" ring use, do not store Butyl "O" Rings with Neoprene rings.
Butyl rings must be lightly lubricated with PAG oil prior to installation.
NOTE:
Re-seal the PAG oil container immediately after use.
