EGR Valve Housing

EGR Valve Replacement:

NOTE: Number references in text specify numbered components in image.

- Loosen union nut attaching transfer pipe to union gland.
- Disconnect vacuum hose (1) from EGR valve.
- Remove valve mounting nuts (2) and lift valve from engine.
- Finish detaching union nut from gland. Lift housing and gaskets from engine.
- Remove transfer pipe union gland from housing.
- Reverse procedure to install new housing. Replace gaskets and use these torque specifications:

EGR Valve To Housing 17-20 ft lb (23-27 Nm)
Union Gland To Housing 28-31 ft lb (38-42 Nm)
Transfer Pipe To Gland 28-31 ft lb (38-42 Nm)
