Fuel Filler Hose: Service and Repair

- Disconnect the battery earth lead.
- Remove boot floor carpet.
- Remove boot front liner.
- Remove boot side liner, left hand.
- Slacken fuel tank retaining strap lower bracket clamping nuts/bolts.
- Release and remove fuel tank retaining strap lower bracket to body securing bolts.

Fuel Filler Aperture Seal:

- Cut and remove ratchet strap securing filler housing solenoid block connector to electrical harness.
- Disconnect block connector.
- Reposition aperture seal drain tube securing clip (remains captive on drain tube).
- Disconnect drain tube from aperture seal.

Fuel Tank Hose Connections:

- Remove fuel filler cap.
- Remove aperture seal to filler neck garter spring.
- Remove filler housing to body securing bolts.
- Displace filler housing from body (remains captive on filler neck).
- Remove aperture seal over filler neck. Move fuel tank filler neck rearwards to aid the following operation.
- Raise filler housing front left hand corner upwards through body aperture.
- Move fuel tank filler neck forwards to aid the following operation.
- Lift and remove filler housing assembly.
- Remove and discard filler housing gasket and clean gasket faces.
- To fit a new filler aperture housing, reverse the procedure using a new gasket.
- Check filler flap alignment with body, adjust if necessary.
