Throttle Cable/Linkage: Service and Repair

Throttle Pedal:

- Remove cotter pin from pedal end of cable.

Throttle Cable:

- On engine, remove linkage retaining clip and disconnect cable end from linkage.
- Remove cable from body grommet and remove grommet from body.
- Remove cable assembly.
- Fit new cable to vehicle. Be sure grommet is fully seated into body panel.
- Seat cable into grommet.
- Fit cable end to throttle pedal.
- Fit clevis pin and cotter pin.
- On engine, fit cable end to linkage piece and secure with clip.
- Fit cable housing to mounting bracket.
- Adjust cable nuts to remove slack from inner cable and tighten nuts.
