Refit
Downpipe Converter:
- Locate the sealing rings onto the downpipe flange joints (1).
Exhaust Pipe Joint:
- Apply exhaust sealant sparingly to the outer surface of the rear olives and locate the olives into the rear converter joints (1).
- With the help of an assistant to support one end, locate the system to the vehicle.
- Fit one nut to the manifold flange (2) and one bolt, washer and Helicoil locking nut to each rear joint (2), to support the system.
- Fit and partly tighten the remaining four bolts, washers and Helicoil locking nuts to the rear joints.
- Fit and partly tighten the Helicoil locking nuts to the manifold flange.
- Check for adequate clearance around the downpipe catalytic converters and tighten the nuts to the correct torque, ensuring that the gap between the pipe flanges is even.
- Carefully reposition the intermediate pipe (3) and the underfloor converters as necessary.
- Set the position of the clamping rings to ensure that the bolts and clamps will not be damaged when driving over uneven ground.
Flange Positioning:
- To provide the maximum clearance between the exhaust and suspension arm, set the position of each rear flange joint clamping ring so that a straight section of the flange is adjacent to the suspension arm.
- Tighten all clamp bolts to the correct torque.
- Fit the oxygen sensor to the downpipe.
- Lower the ramp.
- Connect the oxygen sensor cable to its mating connector and fit the cable into the clips located along the right hand inner wing.
