This bulletin supersedes Administration Bulletin

ISSUE:

As a customer care measure, Jaguar Cars authorizes certain service actions to be performed at the next service opportunity. Our records indicate low completion rates for many of these service actions. Attached is a list of all service actions that should be completed at the next service opportunity, complete with technical bulletin reference.

ACTION:

When scheduling vehicles for service, refer to following list to determine if any service actions are applicable. Before performing any service action, always perform a DCS claim search first to determine whether a specific service action has already been performed on the vehicle. The warranty selection under the Vehicle Inquiry will give a listing of all claims against the vehicle. If a specific service action number appears in the fault codes field, do not perform that service action on the vehicle in question.

NOTE:
Jaguar will only issue payment for service action work one time. Repeat repair claims for the same service action will be rejected.

In addition, Service Actions may only be performed if the vehicle is within the time/mileage limits of the new vehicle limited warranty.

The one exception to this rule appearing on the current list is Service Action S458 (TSB 17-9 Amended) "Air Pump Clutch - Intermittent Operation": This service action should be performed regardless of mileage.
