ISSUE:

Frequent security system transmitter battery drain.

The transmitter front cover has been revised to include a raised "lip" surrounding the transmitter operating button. The raised "lip" will reduce the chance of inadvertent operation of the unit, which may cause unnecessary battery drain.

ACTION:

If customers require frequent security system transmitter battery replacement, inspect the front cover of the transmitter. If the transmitter cover does not have a raised "lip" (Illustration 1) around the button, replace the existing cover with the revised version.

SECURITY SYSTEM TRANSMITTER COVER REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE

1. Remove the existing transmitter cover and replace it with a revised cover (part number LMB 2610AA).

NOTE:
Replace the transmitter battery only if testing verifies that it is weak.

2. Verify transmitter operation.
