Compressor Clutch Front Plate

Compressor Clutch Front Plate
- Remove the compressor. Removal and Installation
- Hold the compressor in a bench vise. Clamp only on the mounting lugs.





- Remove the compressor clutch retaining nut and clutch front plate using Air Compressor Tool Kit JD 169K.

NOTE: The removal tool threaded inner sleeve is retained in the outer ring by the holding bar. It is not necessary to remove either the woodruff key or shims.






- When fitting the replacement clutch front plate assembly, retain the original shims, and check the air gap to specification.
- Should the gap be incorrect, remove the assembly and adjust the shim pack accordingly.
- Fit a new clutch front plate retaining nut and torque to 34-41 Nm (25-30.2 ft lb).
