Cellular Telephone - Factory Fitted Harness - Connector/Wiring Information

ISSUE:

Beginning with the 1994 MY, all sedan range vehicles are prewired to receive Motorola cellular, telephones (this includes all past and present Motorola models). The wiring consists of two harnesses. The transceiver / antenna harness is integrated into the vehicles R/H side harness. The remote speaker / hands free microphone harness is a separate unit and is routed across the bulkhead. The handset connector is a component of the transceiver / antenna harness.

ACTION:














There are 7 connectors that must be connected for proper telephone operation. These connectors and their wiring colors (where applicable) are as follows (see illustration).

NOTE:
An "FME/Mini UHF Adaptor" will be required to connect this cable to most cellular antennas. It is available from Richard Hirschmann of America. Inc. which is located in Riverdale, NJ (201) 835-5002. The Hirschmann part number is 927950-008.
