Portable Diagnostic Unit - Software Issue - PDU 1025

ISSUE:

Software issue PDU 1025 replaces PDU 1020. Diagnostic information covering the extended wheelbase model has been added.

ACTION:

Retain PDU 1020 in a secure place as a back up CD-ROM in the event 1025 is
damaged.

Included is a flow chart that is to be used as a reference for the diagnostic routines. The menus displayed will vary depending on the VIN entered and the vehicle features entered. Following the flowcharts are Acronym tables which will assist the user when setting up the PDU for Datalogger operations.

Use the following procedure when loading the 1025 software to ensure proper operation:

1. Switch the PDU off.

2. Connect the PDU to the base station using the gray cable.

3. Connect the red digital measurement probe to the PDU.

4. Load PDU software 1025 disc into the CD-ROM drive,

5. Hold down the measurement button of the red digital measurement probe while switching the PDU on. Continue to hold the button until the PDU starts loading the software. Allow the PDU to proceed to the main menu screen.
