Warranty - Service Parts and Adjustment Exclusion

Beginning with 1992 MY vehicles all service parts and adjustments as identified in section A 7.5 of the Jaguar Warranty Manual are not covered under the terms of the new car warranty after 12 months/12,500 miles.

Section A 7.5 is reproduced below for your information.

Wear and tear parts may be covered under the terms of the Jaguar 6.0L V12 Free Scheduled Maintenance Program.

7.5 What the warranty covers

The New Vehicle Limited Warranty covers any component of the Jaguar vehicle that is defective during the basic warranty period. with the exceptions noted in Section A 7.6. Tires. which are warranted by the tire manufacturer are also not covered by the warranty.

The warranty includes any part scheduled for routine replacement during the warranty period if it is defective. If a part fails at the same time it is due for replacement, it is not covered by the warranty.

Wear and tear parts Wear and tear parts are warranted for 12 months or until the vehicle has been driven 12,500 miles. Wear and tear parts include the following:

^ Light bulbs (interior and exterior)

^ Brake pads (defect only*)

^ Windshield wiper blades

^ Battery (after the initial wear and tear parts warranty period, the battery will be prorated through the basic warranty period)

^ Brake pads are covered for defects in material and workmanship only. Normal wear is not covered by the New Vehicle Limited Warranty.

Wear and tear adjustments Any adjustment necessary to correct a defect in materials or workmanship will be performed without charge for 12 months or until the vehicle has been driven 12,500 miles. The term "adjustments" refers to minor repairs or adjustments not usually associated with the replacement of parts. Wear and tear adjustments include the following:

^ Body panel alignment

^ Glass alignment

^ Suspension alignment

^ Wheel and tire balancing

^ Headlight aiming

^ Engine adjustments

Brake discs (rotors) Brake discs are covered for detects in material and workmanship only. Normal wear is not covered by the New Vehicle Limited Warranty.
