Linear Switch

TRANSMISSION LINEAR SWITCH - RENEW

- Disconnect the battery.





- Operate the interlock solenoid override latch (2 Fig. 1) (a 'torx' type tool is necessary to remove the plug (4 Fig. 1)) to enable the gearshift to be moved from the 'P' - park position to the 'D' - drive position.

- Remove the centre console veneer finisher panel.

- Disconnect the multi plugs from the linear switch, and release the multi plug from the switch mounting bracket.

- Remove the securing bolts (1 Fig. 2), and remove the linear switch (2 Fig. 2).

- Fit the new linear switch into position, and ensure that the peg engages with the selector sliding block. Do not fully tighten the bolts.

- Adjust the linear switch, and secure the mounting bolts.

- Refit the centre console veneer finisher panel, and the gear selector surround.

- Refit the penformance mode switch and the ashtray.

- Reconnect the battery.
