Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Fig. 1 Location Of CKPS:

1. Open the hood and fit a wing cover.
2. Disconnect the CKPS harness multi-plug and release from the mounting bracket.
3. Undo and remove the sensor securing bolt and remove the sensor.
4. Clean the mating faces.

NOTE: Fitting a new CKPS is the reverse of the removal procedure.
