Power Seat Fuses - Blow with No System Fault - Fuse Rating Revised

ISSUE:

Power seat fuses blow with no electrical or mechanical fault in the system. The 1995 MY Sedan Range power seat fuse specification was increased to 20 Amperes capacity (yellow) from 15 Amperes capacity (light blue) beginning with VIN 724518

NOTE
The fuse box labels have not been changed

ACTION:

If any of the power seat fuses blow in 1995 MY Sedan Range vehicles from VIN 720001 - 724517 with no apparent fault in the system, replace the four 15 Ampere power seat fuses (light blue) with 20 Ampere fuses (yellow).

The power seat fuses are located in the left and right side heel board fuse boxes in positions F1 and F2.

After ensuring that 20 Ampere fuses are fitted, verify that all seat movement functions operate correctly.

CAUTION
Never install fuses with higher amperage ratings than specified by Jaguar. Excessive amperage will cause damage to vehicle electronic components.Upgrade fuse specifications only when instructed by a technical bulletin or electronic mail.
