Software issue DBC 4085 should be used to diagnose major electrical system faults on 1995 MY XJS vehicles.

This is a traditional software issue and covers all changes related to the vehicle for 1995 MY with the exception of engine management and transmission systems.

AJ16 4.0L engine management and transmission system diagnosis routines are conducted using PDU (Portable Diagnostic Unit) and PDU Issue 1010.

DBC 4085 consists of two discs A and B. All diagnostics must begin with disc A. The operator will then be instructed to install disc "B", if required during the diagnostic routine.

Software Issue DBC 4085 is formatted as follows:

^ Fault Diagnostics
^ Vehicle Set-up (alarm system)
^ Multimeter Mode
^ Disc Check
^ Reload from new disc

The largest single change to this software is the removal of the 4.0 liter powertrain software routine.
