Rear Suspension - Check/Reset Rear Toe - Service Action S 150
Issue:
The rear lower control arms on 2003 MY S-TYPE vehicle within the above VIN range were replaced at the port of entry facilities. This action was taken because the bushings were incorrectly installed in the rear lower control arm.
To ensure that the vehicles will not be subject to improper tracking or experience premature tire wear, dealers will check, and reset if necessary, the rear toe of the above vehicles. A complete list of all of the affected vehicles is shown in this bulletin.
Action:
Perform this Service Action before delivering the vehicle to the customer.
Check, and reset if necessary, the rear toe of the 2003 MY S-TYPE vehicles listed..
REAR TOE ADJUSTMENT
1. Check the toe settings. Follow the equipment manufacturer's instructions.
2. Left-hand, shown right-hand similar. Loosen the lock nut (Illustration 1). Clean and lubricate the lock nut and toe link threads.
3. Rotate the toe link to adjust the toe settings.
4. Tighten the lock nut (Illustration 2). Check the toe settings. Follow the equipment manufacturer's instructions.
