Used on 1986-87 vehicles equipped with 4-150/2.5L and 1987 6-243/4.0L fuel injected engines, the electric fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank and is attached to the fuel gauge sending unit Fig. 1. It delivers and maintains a standard operating pressure and is controlled by the electronic control unit (ECU) of the fuel injection system.
