IDENTIFICATION

A transmission l.D. plate (18) is attached to the passenger side of the transmission front case (15). The plate provides the Jeep identificationI part number (a), the manufacturer's reference number (b) and the transmission serial number (c). If the plate is removed during service operations, it is important that it be reinstalled. The information on this plate is necessary for accurate parts ordering and service procedures.
