Wiper Motor Stops During Operation


1. Operate wipers for 5 cycles consisting of 3 seconds of water application and 57 seconds of drying, with engine idling and blower motor operating at high speed. Ensure that voltage at red or white motor leads is a minimum of 12.5 volts with engine running.
2. If motor stops suddenly or operates intermittently, test circuit breaker in fuse panel and replace if necessary. If circuit breaker is satisfactory, repeat step 1. If motor still stops, replace wiper blades or motor as necessary.
3. If motor stalls, clean windshield and replace wiper blades as necessary. If problem still exists, repeat step 1. If motor still stalls, replace circuit breaker or motor as necessary.
