Accelerator Pump

Fig. 5 Accelerator pump adjustment:

1. Turn curb idle adjusting screw counterclockwise until throttle valves are completely seated in bore, noting number of turns required.
2. Open choke valve so that fast idle cam allows throttle valve to remain seated in bore.
3. Turn curb idle adjusting screw in clockwise direction until it just contacts stop, then turn curb idle adjusting screw an additional two turns in the clockwise direction.
4. Using a suitable ``T'' scale, measure top of accelerator pump shaft and air horn surface, Fig. 5.
5. If adjustment is necessary, loosen accelerator pump arm adjusting lock screw and rotate sleeve to adjust pump travel.
6. After completing adjustment, tighten lock screw and return curb idle adjusting screw to its original position.
7. Reinstall air cover.
