Wiper Motor Inoperative or Operates at One Speed Only
1. If wiper motor is inoperative in one speed only, proceed to step 2. If motor does not operate in either speed, check linkage for binding or obstruction and repair as needed. If linkage is satisfactory, proceed to step 2.
2. Connect test lamp between blue wire with tracer terminal in motor electrical connector and ground with ignition switch On and wiper switch in low speed position.
3. Connect test lamp between blue wire terminal in motor electrical connector and ground with ignition switch On and wiper switch in high position.
4. If test lamp does not light in steps 2 and 3, check ignition switch, wiper switch, harness and terminals for open circuits and repair as necessary.
5. If test lamp lights in steps 2 and 3, check motor ground strap and electrical connections and repair as necessary.
6. If motor still fails to operate properly and all other components are satisfactory, repair or replace motor.
