Electric Fuel Pump

Fig 1. Fuel pump & tank components:

1. Depressurize fuel system, then disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Drain fuel tank, then disconnect wire harness connector.
3. Separate filler tube from fuel tank.
4. Position suitable jack under fuel tank, remove tank retaining bolts, then carefully lower fuel tank from vehicle.
5. Disconnect all fuel hoses, then remove fuel gauge sending unit and pump assembly.
6. Separate sending unit from fuel pump.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
