Fast Idle Cam Position

Fig. 7 Fast idle cam position adjustment:

1. Grind off rivet heads retaining choke cover to choke housing.
2. Using a suitable punch, remove rivet bodies.
3. Position choke cover 1/4 turn toward the rich position and install and tighten one retaining screw.
4. Position fast idle adjusting screw on second step of fast idle cam.
5. Measure clearance between choke valve and air horn wall, Fig. 7.
6. If necessary, adjust by bending fast idle cam link.
7. Return choke cover to its proper index position.
