Wiper Motor Inoperative or Operates at One Speed Only

1. If wiper motor is inoperative in one speed only, proceed to step 2. If motor does not operate in either speed, check linkage for binding or obstruction and repair as necessary. If linkage is satisfactory, proceed to step 2.
2. Connect test lamp between white wire with tracer terminal in motor electrical connector and ground with ignition switch On and wiper switch in low speed position.
3. Connect test lamp between dark blue wire with tracer terminal in motor electrical connector and ground with ignition switch On and wiper switch in high speed position.
4. If test lamp does not light in steps 2 and 3, check ignition switch, wiper switch, harness and terminals for open circuits and repair as necessary.
5. If test lamp lights in steps 2 and 3, check electrical connectors and adjust or repair as necessary.
6. If motor still fails to operate properly and all other components are satisfactory, replace motor.
