Crankshaft Position Sensor:
CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR
1. Disconnect the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CPS).
2. Using an ohmmeter measure the resistance across the sensor terminals.
3. The ohmmeter should read 125-275 ohms at operating temperature. If resistance is not within specification replace the crankshaft position sensor. If within specification the problem is in the ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT circuit refer to COMPUTERIZED ENGINE CONTROLS for further diagnosis.
