Horn: Service and Repair

1. Remove horn button and ring. On 1989-92 models with standard wheel, remove cover attaching screws from underside of wheel then remove the cover. Disconnect horn wire connectors from contact switch. On models with sport wheel, remove horn contact assembly and flex plate.
2. On all models, remove steering wheel retaining nut, then scribe alignment marks on steering shaft and wheel to aid installation.
3. Using suitable puller, remove steering wheel from shaft.
4. Reverse procedure to install. Torque steering wheel retaining nut to 25 ft. lbs.
