Throttle Full Open Switch: Description and Operation

The Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) performs the function of a Wide Open Throttle (WOT) Switch. A Wide Open Throttle (WOT) Switch is not used on these vehicles, but a voltage signal is sent to the ECU by the TPS when a wide open throttle condition exists.
