Wheel Cylinder Installation

INSTALLATION
CAUTION: Wipe the end of the pipe fitting (1) to remove foreign matter before connecting it to the wheel cylinder.

1, Position the wheel cylinder (3) on the backing plate and connect the pipe fitting to the wheel cylinder. Hand tighten the connection only.
2. Install the wheel cylinder attaching bolts (4). Tighten the mounting bolts with the specified torque, 10 Nm (90 in. lbs.).
3. Using a pipe nut wrench, tighten the brake pipe fitting at the wheel cylinder with the specified torque, 15 Nm (132 in. lbs.).
4. Install the brakeshoes.
5. Adjust the brakes, center the shoes and install:
^ The brakedrum.
^ The wheel.
^ The wheel lug nuts.
6. Tighten the wheel lug nuts with the specified torque, 102 Nm (75 ft. lbs.).
7. Bleed the brake hydraulic system, lower the vehicle and test the brakes.
