Fuel Delivery and Air Induction: Description and Operation
Fuel Delivery System:
The fuel delivery system consists of the fuel tank, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, fuel rail, 6 fuel injectors and associated lines, hoses, and controls. Fuel is pumped from the fuel tank to the fuel rail and fuel injectors, through the fuel pressure regulator, and returns to the tank via a fuel return line. The Single Board Engine Controller II (SBEC II) controls the fuel flow through the injectors, and excess fuel returns to the fuel tank, through the fuel return line.
