Toe Adjustment

1. Measure toe position. Distance between outside edges at rear of tires should be greater than distance between at the front of tires according to specifications.
2. If not correct, loosen adjustment sleeve clamp bolts, then move tie rod and wheels in or out by turning adjustment sleeve clamp. Tie rod and adjustment sleeve have both left hand and right hand threads to provide equal adjustments for both wheels.
3. After adjustments, position tie rod adjustment sleeve clamp bolts so threaded ends of bolts face rearward and are angled upward. On Grand Wagoneer models, torque bolts to 30 ft. lbs. On Wrangler, torque bolts to 14 ft. lbs.
4. If necessary, steering wheel can be centered by adjusting drag link adjustment sleeve. After adjustment, position drag link adjustment sleeve clamp bolts so threaded ends of bolts face rearward. On Grand Wagoneer, torque bolts to 30 ft. lbs. and on Wrangler, torque bolts to 36 ft. lbs.
