Engine Control Module: Service and Repair

Engine Controller:

REMOVAL



1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove washer fluid reservoir.
3. Loosen 60-Way connector mounting screw until connector can be disengaged from the Single Board Engine Controller (SBEC).
4. Pull 60-Way connector straight back from the SBEC.
5. Remove the SBEC mounting screws.
6. Remove the SBEC.



INSTALLATION


1. Install SBEC and torque mounting screws to 9 lb.in. (1 Nm).
2. Engage 60-way connector into the SBEC. Tighten the connector mounting screw to 35 lb. in. (4 Nm).
3. Connect negative cable to battery.
4. Install washer fluid reservoir.
