Emission Maintenance Reminder (EMR) Light

The Emission Maintenance Reminder (EMR) Light comes on at approximately 82,500 miles. The EMR informs the driver when oxygen sensor and other selected emission maintenance is required.
Failure to perform the required maintenance and only reset the EMR light may be in violation of federal law. Only after performing the required maintenance, should the EMR light be reset.
Resetting the EMR light requires the use of the DRBII or equivalent scan tool. Refer to COMPUTERIZED ENGINE CONTROLS for reset procedures.
