Control Module: Service and Repair

NOTE: Use a scan tool to diagnose Transmission Control Module (TCM) function whenever a fault is suspected. Replace the TCM only when it is actually faulty.

TCM Location Left Hand Drive:

TCM Location Right Hand Drive:

The TCM is located under the instrument panel.

1. Turn the ignition "OFF".
2. Unsnap and remove the harness connector from the TCM
3. Remove the fastener that attaches the TCM to the instrument panel and remove the TCM.
4. Position the new TCM on the instrument panel and install the TCM fastener.
5. Snap the wire harness connector into the new TCM.
