Throttle Position Sensor/Switch: Adjustments

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove the [1][2]Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) retaining screws.
2. Disconnect TPS harness connectors and remove sensor.
3. Connect new sensor to transmission Transmission Control Unit (TCU) harness, then mount sensor on throttle body and install attaching screws.

NOTE: Do not tighten attaching screws at this time.

4. Connect battery ground cable.
5. Check and adjust sensor output voltage as follows:
a. Using a voltmeter, connect positive lead to terminal B and negative lead to terminal D.
b. Rotate TPS until output voltage is approximately 4.2 volts.
c. Tighten TPS attaching screws.
