Clutch System Bleed

1. Attach hose to clutch bleed screw and immerse end of hose in glass container partially filled with clutch fluid.
2. Open bleed screw.
3. Fill clutch master cylinder reservoir until fluid in glass container is free of air bubbles. Close bleed screw.
4. Press and release clutch pedal several times and measure pedal free play. If free play exceeds 1/2 inch, proceed to next step. If free play is less than 1/2 inch, clutch system bleeding is complete.
5. Open bleeder screw, then have a helper press clutch pedal to the floor.
6. Tighten bleeder screw, then release clutch pedal. Repeat until fluid entering container is free of air bubbles.
7. Check clutch pedal free play again. If free play exceeds 1/2 inch, air is still trapped in system. Continue bleeding until free play is satisfactory.
8. Top off clutch master cylinder reservoir.
