Base Brake System Bleeding
1. Fill master cylinder to within 1/4 inch of each reservoir rim.2. Bleed right rear wheel as follows:
a. Install a rubber hose on bleeder screw and submerge free end of hose in a transparent container partially filled with clean brake fluid.
b. Open bleeder screw 3/4 turn, then have an assistant depress brake pedal to the floor. Close bleeder screw, then slowly release pedal.
c. Repeat procedure until fluid flows clear and free of air bubbles. Always maintain a fluid level in master cylinder while bleeding brakes.
3. Bleed left rear, right front, then left front brake, in that order, using same procedure as used for right rear brake.
4. Fill master cylinder to within 1/4 inch of reservoir rims.
5. Check brake operation and ensure pedal is firm, then road test vehicle. An improved brake fluid, part No. 9082200215, is available for service on all models. The new fluid is compatible with other fluids, and results in improved braking performance.
