Transfer Case: Testing and Inspection

Transfer Case Diagnosis Chart:

Before repairing any transfer case, check all other driveline components first. The actual cause of a problem may be front hubs, axles, propeller shaft, wheels, tires, transmission or clutch. Ensure hub seals are intact, maintenance of the hubs is critical. Avoid prolonged exposure to dirt and water as damage to internal components will result.
