Wiper Motor Stops During Operation
1. Operate wipers for five cycles consisting of three seconds of water application and 57 seconds of drying, with engine idling and blower motor operating at high speed.2. If motor stops suddenly or operates intermittently, test circuit breaker (integral with wiper switch) and replace if necessary. If circuit breaker is satisfactory, repeat step 1. If motor still stops, replace wiper blades or motor as necessary.
3. If motor stalls, clean windshield and replace wiper blades as necessary. If problem still exists, repeat test. If motor still stalls, replace wiper switch or motor as necessary.
