Control Arm: Description and Operation

The suspension arms are different lengths, with bushings at both ends. They bolt the axle assembly to the body. The lower arms use shims at the body mount to allow for adjustment of caster and drive shaft pinion angle. The suspension arm travel is limited through the use of jounce bumpers in compression and shocks absorbers in rebound.
