Warning Lamp Circuit Open/Shorted (Active)

SYMPTOM
WARNING LAMP CIRCUIT OPEN/SHORTED (ACTIVE)

WHEN MONITORED
Continuously with the ignition ON.

SET CONDITION
ACM monitors CCD Bus for airbag warning lamp diagnostic message from instrument cluster. Message is transmitted every second, and upon change of lamp state, by cluster. Instrument cluster substitutes seat belt for airbag warning lamp if defective.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Active code present only with PAB ON/OFF SW OFF
- Warning lamp defective
- Warning lamp verification
- ACM defective, warning lamp ON
- Instrument cluster defective
