P0522 Oil Pressure Sensor Volts Low

SYMPTOM
P-0522 OIL PRESSURE SENSOR LOW

WHEN MONITORED
With the ignition switch on.

SET CONDITION
The PCM detects voltage on the oil pressure sensor signal circuit below 0.1 volts.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- 5-volt supply ckt open
- Oil pressure sensor connector & harness intermittent defect
- Oil pressure sensor connector & harness observable defect
- Oil pressure sensor defective
- PCM defective
- Sensor signal circuit short to ground
- Sensor signal circuit short to ground circuit
