SYMPTOM
P-1696 PCM FAILURE EEPROM WRITE DENIED

WHEN MONITORED
With the Ignition Key on.

SET CONDITION
An attempt to program/write to the internal EEPROM failed.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- PCM defective "write refused"
