SYMPTOM
P1389 NO ASD RELAY OUTPUT VOLTAGE AT PCM

WHEN MONITORED
With the ignition key ON, battery voltage greater than 10.4 volts and engine speed > 40 rpm.

SET CONDITION
No voltage sensed at the powertrain control module when the auto shutdown relay is energized.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Fused B(+) circuit open
- Auto shutdown relay
- ASD relay output circuit open (engine started)
- ASD relay output circuit open (engine did not start)
- ASD relay output circuit wiring harness observable defect
- ASD RLY output circuit wiring harness intermittent defect
- PCM engine did not start)
- PCM (engine started)
