SYMPTOM
P0122 THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR VOLTAGE LOW
WHEN MONITORED
With the ignition ON, and battery voltage above 10.4 volts.
SET CONDITION
The throttle position sensor circuit voltage at the PCM goes below .1 volt for more than 3.2 seconds.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
- TPS 5-volt supply circuit open
- TPS signal circuit shorted to ground
- TPS signal circuit shorted to ground circuit
- TPS wiring harness intermittent defect (RPM)
- Powertrain control module
- Throttle position sensor (voltage > 1.0 volt)
- Throttle position sensor (voltage change)
- Transmission control module (TPS)
- TPS wiring harness intermittent defect
- TPS wiring harness observable defect
